About European Union GDPR

In connection with the European Union General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) governing the protection of personal data information, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) wants to let you know our position with regard to these regulations. The impact of the new EU Regulations is far-reaching, affecting even companies without physical EU facilities, but which might come into contact with personal data from EU residents or citizens. 
 
AAOS is fully aware of the legal obligations imposed by the new EU Regulations and the need to protect personal data of our members, customers and business partners.  For that reason, AAOS has committed, and will continue to commit, significant resources to the protection of such information.
